Week 28

We've had a busy week.  We invite you to share with us some of our experiences through these pictures.

This is our Zone Leader who will be going home Tuesday.

We started our Monday with Skyping our kids, then that night we had a Family Home Evening with our missionary kids.  I brought sloppy joes, homemade rolls, and cake, and one of the sisters made tuna spaghetti (yes, and it was pretty good!) and that was our meal.  We played games and had a good time.  Two of our missionaries are going home the 7th, and others will be transferred on the 10th, so this was kind of our good-bye party.

Wednesday we had a quad-zone conference all day with the Area President Elder Nielsen and his wife.  They gave us great consel, like how to get more investigators, to how to get over being depressed or homesick, to how to get along with your companion.  We really needed that last one!
(Just kidding.  Trying to see if anyone actually reads this!)

They fed us great Filipino food--not sure what it was, but it was good!

We visited families on Thursday.
We met with this sweet sister and her children.  Her husband has been out of work since January, and she has been selling drinks at community fiestas or at the Catholic Shrine to earn money for their existence.  She has been unable to come to church because of her work.  Our heart goes out to her and many others like her who try to get by on so little.

Roosters and goats in one of the front yards we passed.

Sister Dola and us being missionaries.

Some of the people we passed on our way to a less active's house.  The kids are so adorable!

Good-bye to one of our sweet Sister Missionaries.

Missionary companions singing a duet at their farewell party.  Our missionaries are so wonderful!  We love each of them, but know they must go home and get on with the rest of their lives.

This has been our week in pictures.  Hope you have a great one.  We love you.
